AHRD Program Objectives Paper
Program objectives are a critical component of effective evaluation. They enable stakeholders to identify and track outcomes, gather data and monitor program performance. For this paer, I reviewed the list of AHRD program objectives for the Adult Education/Human Resource Development program. I then examined how those objectives were stated and how they aligned with the program courses and key program assessments to determine whether they were Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART) objectives. This paper discusses ways that I would improve these objectives and compares them to the new ASTD Competency Model.
